East Lancs Gala 25-26th Feb 2012

Hello all

is there any brucey bonus info on this event, already announced are 71000, 43935, 44871 and 80080, does anyone know if any others are in the pipeline or rumoured???

Cant decided whether to go to jan or feb gala?

I'm sure that if there are to be any other engines other than those currently advertised, they will be announced in due course.

CVR Gala same weekend as the Feb one, so I'm doing ELR January Gala especially with 850 visiting!

 

850 is at the feb gala too!

 

Silly question - if 49395 is being loaded away to the KWVR for their gala is it being brought back to the Lancs so quickly?? - or straight to Llangollen?

Let's hope they repair that steam heat valve before she's used again!

She was failed for that at Bury so I am surprised it was pressed into use at Keighley in these temperatures in that condition.

 

Locos for the event should be 71000 45231 44871 850 49395 80080 132 so I've been told.

 

First visit to elr and looking like a good line up looking forward to it

Apart from the photo charter freights in the mornings, will freights be working throughout the day?

I see Sapper's discovered the magic Ramsbottom wormhole! :lol:

 

132 will run back to Bury in the light engine paths after some of its turns... never fear!!!

 

I've just returned from a fantastic if a little overcast day at the ELR. Thanks to the crews and staff once again for a brilliant steam event!
