If they had costs worked out to the last penny, I am sure that someone would complain that it was naive to expect to be so accurate.
How about a touch of live and let live? If you don't want to contribute, fair enough, but it may be time to rock back and see how they get on without the constant barrage of negativity ... Just a thought :) :)

It's not compulsory! People are quite capable of making their own judgement as to the likely success of any given scheme. Clearly the J39 is unlikely to fair well at this stage.

Can I suggest the J39 Trust contact NELPG as they recently had a cylinder pattern made & a cylinder block cast for the J27 2392. As the J39 is an updated J27 the pattern maybe of use. After saying this I think there are some major differences between them though it maybe possiable to alter the pattern to be of use. Worth looking into anyway IMHO.Best of luck with this project. regards John

It's interesting to compare, or rather contrast, the J39 and L1 projects with the 82045 project on the SVR isn't it? My money is going on the latter.
That is not to say that the building of a J39 is a bad idea; it just takes some financial and engineering backing at the start, coupled with time and patience. M0rris is on the button with the comments above.

    All,

Temporarily locking the thread, to have a review of content and clean up.
it will return, there's no heavy handed moderation taking place or punishments being melted out.
    just a sanity check.

Give the mod team a few hours to work on it.
