    I see Accucraft are planning a 7/8ths scale Quarry Hunslet, that should be quite a beast! Wonder if they'll have it out by the autumn....

    That seems a bit pointless - why not go the whole hog and make it 1:1!

    cost differential, 7/8ths scale will cost about a grand, add two zeros to that figure and you still would not have enough to buy a new one in 1:1 scale

    On the 45th!
    7/8's of an inch to 1 foot. Now an 87.5% scale replica would be a nice touch but it might cost more than a couple of thousand pounds.

    No, it'll be 7/8ths" scale! 45mm or 32mm gauge.

    Think you'll find that is 7/8" = ft scale, which is the point I was originally trying to put across in a more subtle fashion!

    If there were to be another Hunslet 'gathering' it should be at the Festiniog.

    Locos operating in Minffordd yard, Boston Lodge and Porthmadog station.

    Trips to Minffordd, Pen-y-Mount, Gelert's Farm and Porthmadog WHHR. Top and tailed. Dinas to Caernarfon, Blaenau Ffestiniog to TGR or TyB

    All combined with longer runs to Rhiw Goch, Beddgelert etc.

    No better place IMHO. Besides, with 40 miles of railway...

    And, quite remarkably, we've also managed to track down three guys who used to drive Hugh Napier at PQR...

    Hi everyone, my latest Narrow Gauge World Editor's blog, giving some clues about what's coming in the next issue, includes three new pictures of Ogwen and Glyder's loading, sent over from the USA last night by Julian Birley - you'll find it here;
