Hopefully “Kinlet Hall” will have a busy year on quite a few trains. We are working on some tours with 4936 later on in the year, but she is privately owned and they set their own schedule.

The first Shakespeare Express is on 1 July. 46233 is coming off VT's previous days Scarborough Flyer [30 June] at Derby on the return journey and going back direct to Butterly. It is joining the Crewe pool from 20 July so I would say there is no chance of the Duchess appearing on the Shakespeare's.

The logic was both pacifics are on VT tours on the Saturday , so would be in steam for the SE on the Sunday

    however

6233 appears to come off the Tys - York on the retun at Derby so bang goes that idea

Similarly Lizzie would require turning on it's return from Liverpool but doesn't quite fit on TYS Turntable .

We will have a guest engine or two on the SE this year – we just haven’t confirmed confirmed the lineup yet!

    Patience!!!!

You know, people like Ben and others are the ones who make things like this happen.

I’m surprised no-one is asking about the route for the double-panniers on 14[SUP]th[/SUP] April….

I’m not telling on that one either! lol

Hey Ben I heard that Tyseley wanted a 149 foot turntable so you could accomadate locomotives like this

How about bringing the panniers down a week earlier and doing some top and tail workings in the welsh valleys

Jane – I cannot comment on Lizzie’s ticket – We have to wait for word the 6201 Society.

We are extremely confident that Lizzie will receive a boiler extension, hence the inclusion in so many of our tours in 2012 (and our open day in June).

Considering Steam Railway reports that the double-headed panniers will be a tweaked version of the November tour can you please tell us a little more now Ben?

    Cheers,

    Ian

The route applied for is Tyseley, Sutton Park, Bescot, Stechford, Bham International (runround and reverse), Stechford, Aston, Lichfield, Wichnor junc, Branston Junc, Coalville, Knighton, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Saltley, Tyseley.

Hopefully it should provide some variety and new places for Panniers to visit.

    Regards
    Bob

Thanks Bob. Sounds rather tempting... Its the Panniers or a day at Barrow Hill then.
