I'm cycling to a bridge 5 minutes away but not much effort for today due to the weather and a backlog of work.

It looks like Vintage trains is getting off to a great start this year. Last year there were 6 carriages, this year 7 carriages.

 

4965 on fine form again. Seen at Daw Mill and Portway

I had hoped to nip into Tyseley for a few shots of the preps but ran out of time. I simply went to Small Heath and captured a shot as 4965 came through heading towards Bordesley Junction.

I noted Alastair Meanley, presumably firing, on the footplate with his father, Bob Meanley, leaning out of the drivers side taking photos. I didn't spot who was driving though. Can anybody advise?
