In support of the SVR Spring Gala Photocharters with visiting A4 4464 Bittern in it's current guise as 4492 Dominion on New Zealand have been arranged . These will run with a matching 7-8 coach Gresley teak set

There are two days , one of which i'm running and one of which SVRSE/BBLS are running . If you would like details please PM me or Ian Bowskill (92 Squadron)

    Hi Martin,

PM facility doesn't seem to be working for me, but please PM me details of the charters.

    Thanks.

Looking forward to this, especially as it's the first one I've ever been to (not sure what to expect :))

Fingers crossed that she appears as billed (given the comment and speculation elsewhere in 'Steam Traction).

IMG_2435.JPG What an amazing day today! The weather was great, the A4 looked superb, the crew worked tirelessly to give us what we wanted and I think everyone went home tired but very happy. Thanks to Ian (Spamcan) for all the arrangements, the loco crew and on board train guys who were very busy with ladders! Great day out in the company of nice people - priceless!

Even TBirdFrank was smiling AND he bought me a beer!!!!!

Thanks Martin. It was my 1st ever photo charter and I was completely impressed. Definitely the way to go in the future.

Hope your day goes as smoothly and productively as yesterday :)

Another point worth making is that after all the bills have been paid to the railway etc., there's a bit left over to help fund other preservation projects so everybody wins. Perhaps the "photographers don't contribute" brigade would like to take note.
