I do not wish to criticise because the quad arts look great but the NNR's goods train seems to be made of pway vehicles and so isn't exactly the most complete goods train to be seen. has there been work ongoing behind the scenes to make it look better?

From what I have seen, a lot of the NNR goods stock is being overhauled at the moment, I cannot say if it will be finished and out for the Spring Gala, but progress is being made - some of it quite impressive from my last look. :)

The NNR have been well aware that the gala goods has been poor in recent years. After a period of years with no gala goods trains we are now beginning to get the set back up to scratch. The SR brake and GW design Pasfruit are both in works and should be available for the September gala. A conflat has been added this year and a petrol tanker. Efforts are currently focused on returning either another tanker or box van by the end of the year. There are a couple of wagons that could be added but are awaiting the acquisition of new wheelsets. Also additional suitable vehicles are being sought. By the spring of 2013 the goods set should be significantly better than of late.

Hi, is the London Transport Pannier Tank still on the NNR? It's disappeared form the NNR website.

Hi hicks1986. Yes it has left the railway, as it failed it's boiler exam and has consequently gone away for repairs.

If you mean 'facing the right way' to be smokebox at Holt end then, yes they are all facing the right way.

YES! Nothing worse than trying to work out where you are going to catch the odd engine facing sheringham without missing to much, which usualy results in not getteing the sheringham facing engine.
4am start tomorrow, only way to get down the dreaded A17.
