70013 to visit Liverpool Rd. (MOSI)

    70013 is due to visit Liverpool Road Station, Manchester. now the site of MOSI. 70013 is due on site after working a railtour on the 24th March. The locomotive will then be display outside (hopefully) the 1830 warehouse, untill the following Friday (subject to change).

    Also on the 24th March is the date of the second MOSI beer fest which will take place in the power hall. See MOSI web site for details.( 70013 is due on site after the beer fest and the site will be shut to the public ). last year there were queues down Liverpool Rd so get there early

    Is it still going to be there? According to main line steam, its off to Preston once its dropped everyone off at Manchester Victoria

    I think you'll find that the move to Preston that you refer to is the ECS which is scheduled to be diesel hauled

    Yep, you're right - might pop down on Saturday morning - be a bit dark on the Friday for pics

    I believe the tour is on the saturday and its coming down from Edinburgh in the afternoon, so the earliest you'll see it in the light is sunday 25th.

    I will be going down to MOSI for Beer festival, and might also do some volunteering on the railway during the weekend if its required. Will hopefully get some new photos of Cromwell at the museum again too.

    70013 is due in after the beer-festival closes, when the site will be shut to the public. 70013 will then be on display sunday onwards hopefully in the 1830s area. due to leave the following friday/saturday.
    all are welcome to come down and see 70013 at liverpool rd station and dont forget its free to walk around the site. plus train rides will be operating on the sunday.

    70013 is now on site, outside in the 1830s are at the top end of the site.
