    New test run is now scheduled for 27th, with the Night Owl still on for 29th if the test is OK. I'm impressed that this is the second phone call I've had from PMR regarding the Night Owl, it's call excellent PR and keeping the punters up to date. The nice lady also asked if I had internet access, not automatically assuming that everybody has, and said there would be an update on the web site as to whether the Owl would be going ahead.

    IMPORTANT MESSAGE

    As 46233 Duchess of Sutherland has not yet completed a satisfactory light engine test run, there is a remote possibility that the Night Owl will have to be rescheduled.
    Due to the short space of time between the test run (Tues. 27th) and the Night Owl running date (Thurs. 29th), and if the Night Owl has to be postponed to a later date we will not have enough time to contact all passengers individually to let them know.
    Therefore, we would request all passengers who can do so, to look at this website on the evening of Tuesday 27th March when the outcome of the test and confirmation regarding the Night Owl will be announced.
    For anyone who does not have internet access and who will need telephoning on Wednesday 28th, please contact us on 01773 743986 AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to request this, and make sure we have a daytime contact number for you. If you request a telephone call you will only be contacted if the Night Owl is NOT running on Thursday 29th. If you don't hear anything it is running as planned.
    Please only request a telephone call if you will definitely not be in a position to access this website.
    If the Night Owl is re-scheduled and any passengers cannot make the new date, a refund will be offered.

    This gives the background to some earlier posts.

    I have spoken to the driver who was in charge of 46233 on the test run. He is confident that when he takes her out on Tuesday the problem will have been sorted as it appears it was a lot easier to solve than was first thought.

    Ben, the gist of this message has actually been passed to all those booked on the Night Owl by individual phone calls from PMR earlier this week.

    Also of note is that 'Real Ale' will be available after leaving Derby.... This trip is getting better by the minute. I'm in H Peter 29.

    I think if PMR want to put on that headboard then it's their perogative, as is any other aspect of her appearance. Travelling on the Night Owl it will not worry me, nor will it do so when I video her climbng Madeley bank on the return from Crewe.
