I understand that it was the same stock that had been on the Night Owl. Somewhere after the last passengers left at Hathersage one of the coaches suffered some damage, my contact did not know what or where.

Was it really worth the trawl to find another chance for a pointless snipe at me.

Just seem on UKSteam the timings for the CME on 12/4. Today is April 1st so I assume that Network Rail is trying to be funny with an 06.26 start from Euston and an arrival back in London not far away from the curfew times for last trains home.

Interesting comments on the cause of the delay. Of course I was not on the train but merely a bystander on Carnforth station. We arrived well in advance of the scheduled arrival at Carnforth but even then the 37 was already in position in the side platform with 70013 behind. The 37 with Mick Rawlings then took up position further up the line in readiness for the train arrival in the loop. Another interesting observation was the absence of any northbound traffic on the WCML. Just before 70013 eventually proceeded two Virgin trains worked north in quick succession. Normally I would have expected a bit more traffic than this. Even the Lesco train did not show up. Therefore you can draw your own conclusions from this.

No problem Mike and thanks for commenting. I have a much closer in shot of 45305 heading into the tunnel (southbound) from last year which I'll post if time permits.

If you are so bored by the same shots, perhaps you could deign to show us some of your work as you seem to be able to criticise pratically everyone who does post pictures and videos.
We would obviously learn a lot from you of great one......:hail:
