Are the limits for locos on the Cambrian available anywhere?

I've got the 1960 Western Regional Appendix and the 1960 Shrewsbury District Appendix which do have information on which classes are allowed where, but they do not have any load limits.

I was rather interested in seeing an answer to your question! can it be posted? - I have a BR(W) Loading book from 1963 but by then this line was BR(M) of course so its not included. ("Loading" is the load allowed to maintain timetabled point to point loads)

I could tell you the load for each class anywhere on the 1963 Western Region itself though! - steam or diesel.

I spoke to the late Ray Tranter about these Cambrian runs on a good many occasions and he reckoned that no-one got a Manor up Talerddig in good nick.
The thought was that they had originally tried to fire them like standard 4's and the comment was made that with 75069 the harder you hit her the better she steamed and that Manors didn't like that.
I have always had the impression that the Manors have been over fired on the last pull up to the summit would have thought a good clean thick fire at Llanbrynmair should last to the summit then it's all downhill for the next 10 miles or so, plenty of time to get the fire back into good shape.
Always found that a hot bright fire makes more steam tham a smoky fire with lots of half burned coal.

    Cheers Dave
