I remember seeing 9F 92134 at Crewe Works at one of their open days in the 1990s and spoke to its owner Howard Self who told me that he was hoping to have the engine running for its 50th birthday. He wanted to see it running on the CVR and hopefully to see it up the Cauldon line one day. Since then it seems to have dropped off the radar, does anyone know if work is still progressing or anydate set for it to be finished?. Also I've heard that if it was finished it would be banned from going up the Cauldon line because of the curves. Were these banned in BR days?

As far as I am aware the locomotive is still under restoration by LNWR Heritage at Crewe. The last time I saw the loco was in October last year when they were working on the frames and the pony truck. 92134 is currently in the shed built alongside the main exhibition building come LNWR Heritage workshop area.

Does anyone have any up-to-date information on this loco as there seems to be next to nothing on it.

92134 has not gone anywhere. A shunt took place using a road vehicle. 92134's frames moved outside and 71000 (loco only) moved inside.
By the way, the video is of 92203.

Any reason why another video on Facebook shows the loco having the cab side numbers of 92134 then? Would link but it's on a closed group, similar to the one above yet shows it being put onto the low loader.

Post elsewhere on Facebook by person involved with the lorry move confirms it is 92134, and 92203 is still at Crewe.

Looks pretty complete, though looks can be pretty deceptive; last I heard (a couple of years ago) it had no tender, so I wonder if its been done quick or if its going to borrow one...

...along with where it's going to end up, what livery it will be in and what new build it will inspire

Isn't it planned to base the loco at Churnet Valley after the work being done at Crewe is done?

That was reported to be the owner's intentions, but it was quite a few years ago, and their plans may have changed. It's possibly not the most economic class of 0loco for the Churnet Valley either.

Suprise debut at the Anything Goes gala maybe? :D
Cauldon Lowe though, that would be a sound worth hearing.

...assuming a 10-coupled wheelbase would be allowed round that tight curve out of Leekbrook (seem to remember hearing it wouldn't, unfortunately)

So.... has it gone or just been lorry shunted? If it has gone, any serious clues as to where?
