Just in case anyone fancies popping by, we are having a bit of an industrial themed Spring gala at Locomotion on 6th & 7th May.

Operating locos on passenger shuttles will be Barclay WST from Bowes, Peckett "F C Tingey" from Stainmore Railway Co and "Captain Baxter" from the Bluebell. Supporting cast of the Head Wrightson Coffee Pot from Beamish in steam on the sidings, and if all goes well, the first appearance of Hunslet Austerity "Juno" in Stewarts & Lloyds livery on static display.

There may be an additional surprise visitor if transport can be worked out.

Usual society and traders displays and stands inside, 10am to 5pm both days, admission free with small charge for train rides.

Hope to see some of you there

I cannot wait to see how it looks now, it will be totally different to its time at Havenstreet!

Juno should be finished today, but I forgot to say - there's also an antique, craft and gift fair on as well, so something for everyone!

I'm on it on Monday, so if any NatPres folk are coming, do say hello - I don't bite! Also driving Baxter on Sunday. Been in London today, but have been sent pictures of the finished "Juno". Well done chaps!

I was there yesterday helping setup our groups stall. Excellent collection of locomotives, well worth a trip down. Also the usual good trade support for events at Shildon.

    Congrats to all involved.
Managed to look in for an hour today.
WST, Captain Baxter and Coffee Pot in action.
Nice to see that the LSWR Lowmac that our group redecked and repainted at Newbridge was being put to good use.

Lovely pics William thank you. Another good day today, and thanks especially to the NatPres member from Stourbridge who took time to chat whilst Steve Davies was driving. Hope you had a good day and enjoyed it as much as we did!

An excellent day thanks, and good to meet you Anthony. The highlight (apart from Steve's driving!) was the "Coffee Pot" - that's some little engine! Will be fun to see it again at the Severn Valley later this month.

    Kind regards - Robin
