Excellent coverage for the 6201 group and Mojo got a mention, well done.
Have to say, Royalist or not, the whole event along with the British weather, makes you somewhat proud!

Back at home. Just watched the BBC's coverage - bit of a lump in the throat. Think I'll give Sky a miss - It just goes to show how much they read my press-releases! lol

Thanks to WCR, Net Rail, BTP, LT, Jules from the Padgeat, etc. who worked to overcome increadible odds to make this happen. Oh, and thants to the 6201PELS for lendig us "Lizzie" for the day, but I think they got their fair share of publicity!

Clive - you're buying the coffee in the morning!

6201 and L94 depeart Tyseley in the am for Railfest. So much for a quiet bank-holiday weekend!

    Right, what's next?

She looked superb on the bridge. I did wonder why she had to move backwards immediately... couldn't have ben a desperate need to clear the track?

I think it added to the moment. She had been there a while, and it drew attention to her at the critical moment with the TV cameras on her as the Queen went by, rather than appearing as a static exhibit.

We enjoyed exchanging whistles with Lizzie at Cholsey yesterday - she made a lovely sight.

Quote from Ben Fogle in the Telegraph
"One of the most magnificent sights was the arrival of the Princess Elizabeth steamer in the middle of the river blowing her whistles, sending a thick plume of smoke and steam into the grey sky. There was a great roar of approval from the manpowered section."

Even Ben Fogle is more informed than Sky.

Here's my shot of 6201 at South Stoke - awful, awful light, but at least we just managed to dodge the rain. It started pouring a few minutes after she passed. Nice to see so many shots of the special despite the weather.

6201 sounded superb - well done to all involved.

I don't think this clip has been posted, it has 6201 coming onto the bridge, some shots of her sitting there with CM clearly visible, and then leaving with her salute..

I have to say that watching the video above and the TV footage I've never seen a steam loco get a round of applause or cheering.

Folks - I need your help.

Both VT and 6201PELS need a good couple of pictures of Lizzie on the bridge to use in our brochure, etc.

If anyone would be willing to share, please email me a high-res copy to ben@vintagetrains.co.uk

    Regards.

    Ben
