Shakespeare Express 2012

Just booked on the first one of the year, July 1st... Train B and C. £12.50 for 50 main line miles of 6201... Bargain I say!
Going to try and do most of this years runs, I can't wait!

Have VT stated that they'll be using 6201 for the Shakespeare's this year then?

 

6201 will haul the first one of the season Steam Trains, Shakespeare & The Olympic Torch - 1 July 2012

 

Aye. 6201 will haul the 1st July SE with 4965 rostered for the majority of the reaming 10. 5043 will make at least one appearance, with maybe a surprise thrown in here and there. It depends what's around the yard (what an awful problem to have! Lol)

 

Would it be possible for Ben or Bob to keep us updated as to what loco will be in use on what date? I'd particularly like to have a ride behind 5043 at some point this year and the Shakespeare's strike me as a cost effective means of doing so.

Sounds good! I haven't been on any of the Shakespeares yet.

 

I went home to London from my stag do via a Shakespeare a few years back , Shakespeare's are well timed to London -Birmingham connecting services.

Count me in for an NP meet up on a Shakespeare...maybe Ben, if theres enough interest we can get an NP carriage on a specific date ?

 

I'd be interested too... I wouldn't mind doing a few runs this year!
