Here's my video from Mortimer at 10.45 and then Sunnymeads, 40 minutes late at 13.55 (21 miles apart as the crow flies)

Any news on the return trip? National Rail enquiries seem to think there's something "on time" in the path allocated, soon to be passing Brockenhurst..

Suspect it changed ends somewhat closer to Windsor than South West Sidings as Mrs Dragging Brakes spotted it through Virginia Water at 1915....

Not the most adventurous video on YouTube by any means, but here is my work from last Friday and today. The shot on Friday was taken at Eastleigh and the Wednesday shots were taken at two locations at Southampton Airport Parkway (the second of which was taken at a level crossing and not on railway land, like I have been accused of before - I have photographic evidence to support this, that I am happy to upload should anyone feel that this is a trespass shot.)

71000 - The Diamond Jubilee Express 06-06-12 - YouTube - I will update the description in the morning after I get in from 70000 and the Cathedrals Express.

Apologies about the 'www.steamvideos.net' tag at the bottom of the screen, I have had a couple of reports about videos of my own that have been used by other people without seeking my permission. This has been noted and YouTube have been informed.

The Duke looked to be in great form, and I look forward to seeing her on the Bath Spa Express in a couple of weeks (when I might be able to capture a shot of the Caprotti valve gear in action, for once!).

Return trip was through Branksome at 2152 with 71000 leading with 67005 on the rear - appeared to be shut down. 71000 was chattering nicely.
The Duke took water at Poole as scheduled but was then reattached to rear of train and 67005 lead ECS (5Z96) through Parkstone at 2304 with the Duke bringing up rear of the train. Wondering if the 67 is needed for tomorrows trip to Ely from Alresford and Alton. ECS for that is shown to leave Eastleigh for Southall at 0055 - 5Z96 was 20 minutes early through Parkstone and the Duke could take the stock into the depot at Eastleigh giving time for 67005 to take up the Alresford empties!

    Afternoon All,

Better late than never, I have now put the rest of my pictures of 71000 on Flickr. This is the first one and if anyone is interested to see the others clicking on the picture will enlarge it and take you to the Flickr site where the others can be seen (with a couple of 70000 in between).
