Nice footage, and here's a photo of the actual headboard used on 46229 in 1993.

    View attachment 4841

It's been in the family for over 30 years and has adorned 46229 on quite a few occasions.

Unfortunately, a little 'over-cooked' in Photoshop, if you don't mind me saying so.

In the least controversial or angry way (and sorry Henry) but could you explain how? I think it looks alright to me but I'll be glad to hear why you think so?
    Cheers, Henners.

I would suggest that all those who take their photography as seriously as Henry clearly does will already know precisely how it has been 'overcooked'. Others just think that they do!

Many thanks Alan. That's my favourite headboard and must be one prized possession!

Yes indeed, though it doesn't get out much these days.

I can see what has been done to it in photoshop but my comment was that I (at least) think it still looks fine, some pictures you see on other galleries on line are far, far worse.

Looks like a bit of lightening shadows as the most obvious thing done to it - I like both to be honest.

I would agree with Yorkshire Pudden. The original is; well composed, sharp, good exhaust, even the rods down, it doesn't look particularly in shadow, so shadow/highlight isn't necessary IMO. Some very minimal selective colour, levels and brightness balancing would be my suggestion to an already great photo Henry. Perhaps slow cook in an Aga?

To me, that's absolutely spot-on now! Nice shot, by the way! (Doesn't she look good in green!!)

Incidentally, (and, hopefully, as a 'tongue-in-cheek' perpetration of the discussion in the same vein) has anyone else seen the apparently very recently - and totally unexpected - re-paint of 'Tornado' back into GREY livery, in the latest issue of the "Illustrated Monthly Brian Sharpe"?
