It looks as if everyone enjoyed there outing last Saturday.
I would like to make a few observations.I understand that ticket sales were down and that would account for the train only being ten cars instead of the usual twelve.
Not good in the sence that the promoter might have second thoughts about doing it again.
I also understand that there were no mile a minute sections during the day.
Mile a minute running (60mph average start to stop) is difficult to attain and that is why I regard them as a passport for a exceptional day out.I am hard to please though.
At least there was no box and the route did not get changed the week before.

I thought that averaging 60mph start-to-stop is known as "even time" which, as you say, is the touch-stone of steam train timers. "Mile a minute" just means 60 mph - doesn't it?
