RTC website mentions "The train will be hauled by two steam locomotives, the former Southern Railway No. 30777 “Sir Lamiel” and ex-British Railways Britannia Pacific No. 70013 “Oliver Cromwell”."
Picking up/setting down at Victoria, Clapham Junction, Staines, Woking & Basingstoke.

It will be interesting to see what turns up! "Ollie" has just been pulled from next Sunday's "Easterling" and there has been no word of 30777 emerging from repairs at Tyseley yet.

Timings and details are up on Uk Steam.

Correct in that the 5305la website reported today that the tube repairs have indeed been completed on 70013 and it's ready to go for the Victoria - Swanage leg. Other loco is 34067 doing the return leg and the loco is due to do a LE positioning move from Southall to Swanage on Weds 20th.

    Hope this helps.

If your getting on at Staines.. make sure you get on the right steam hauled train..4464 to Minehead arrives 2 minutes before the Swanage train with 70013 !

Good grief, so it does - despite leaving Victoria 41 minutes earlier, and Brentford 11 mins earlier!
In the evening, there should be 5 minutes between them at Staines. 70013 is booked 21:10-21:12 and 4464 21:17-21:21 according to Steam Dreams web site.

I hope there aren't too many "normals" from South West London who are just going for a "ride on a steam train" tomorrow as you could probably guarantee that they won't know the difference between the pretty blue one and the drab green one

A similar situation arose at Woking in 2010 when on 9th July 46115 worked an RTC trip to Weymouth and 30777 a SD trip to Swanage. We were on the 46115 run which arrived first and the SD stewards were going up and down the platform telling passengers for Swanage not to board this steam train. Many on the platform didn't know there were two coming through in a very short space of time. 30777 wasn't far behind 46115 IIRC.

Stopped at Branksome as per schedule and acclerated briskly down Parkstone bank at 1221 - Cromwell looking and sounding good - hope current rain eases off before return or Parkstone bank could be tricky - not nice at Swanage if raining like it is here!! DH
