Ya cheeky sod!!! - I do make another very personable appearance on Youtube - but not in a railway forum, albeit that I was paying tribute to one of Britain's Grand Dames when I was collared by the camera - or was it the rather attractive lady holding the mike??? Shame it was only the mike!

I presume the location was on the opposite sideof the M74 as the sound that Mrs TBF got on our unshielded videocam is much clearer

It has set us off on a search for another camera that takes DV cassettes and also has a mike jack. We appearto be about six months too late.

We have a nice range of hard drive or mini CD drive cameras sir!

Frank, I seem to remember you making a brief appearance on one of my videos on the platform at York as the York Yuletide was pulling out. Hardly a wallflower as you announced your presence...
    Camera with what you want.

The price is the usual sony list, you can get them a good bit less. It's the one I have, has hot shoe on the top for sony mic, jack for remote mic, 'lanc' input for remote control, headphones to monitor input, and of course is Mini Dv tape.

Ralph could you please describe the Tbirds plumage and the sort of habitat he can be found in. It would be of great help to those of us non twitchers. :smt001

Also check out the Canon equivalent, the HV40. It shoots standard definition DV or high-definition HDV on mini-DV cassettes. The picture quality is even better than the Sony Ralph suggests and it is a little cheaper, but it might not be so easy to use - zoom controls, tiddly view-finder, etc. You can't really decide until you have handled both.

I have a few "spot the T-Bird" shots from the GB2 tour, but they won't be finding their way to DVD or YouTube for a week or two, I'm afraid.

The plumage of this very rare species is of the exceedingly natty variety .... as I have recently discovered!

    ...... and thanks!!!

Oh, and my sincerest gratitude must also go out to Frank and Margaret for so generously providing the vertically-stretched 'limousine' that transported my daughter and her classmate to their school 'prom' last Thursday evening. (Even if it did cost me a curry or two!!)

I'd like to see those sometime, nothing like a bit of nostalgia!

I don't know about a football, where I come from it's called a corporation. Some gentlemen tend to acquire one when they reach a certain stage in life (if they're not careful). I have one very similar. You see I'm not as young as I should be....and I'm not careful!
But Frank differs from me because he has two corporations, the one above his belt (like mine) and his corporation bus, and very
nice it is too.........the bus that is, seen here in Blackpool. The other corporation is behind the steering wheel.
