Yep, pretty much.

 

Regardless, I have contacts/colleges who are working to the effect that she'll be arriving at Worcs by train... Whether it Will be steam hauled is another matter!

 

That's good news. On the way to Hereford it wiill be via Llanvihangel, correct?

 

The Hereford-Worcester route has been closed to steam for a few years. I guess 6201 will return via Newport or Shrewsbury unless the steam ban has been relaxed.

6201 on the Royal Train reported to have departed Newport East Usk Yard for Hereford at about 08:00

Dragged out of Hereford station about 10.12, now sat in the loop south of the station.

Departed 11.01 for Worcester with 67006 on the front. 6201 was doing her fair share of work though!

 

Arrived Worcester 13.35 from Kiddy direction. Now shunting around before taking water. Rumour 6201 is working the train to Oxford via Cotswold line! Don't shoot the messenger if this is complete rubbish.

Have been told likely departure from Worcester 'around 1430'. That's the time the Queen leaves the Cathedral so guess slightly later than that. Beautiful sunshine at the mo - it can't last! Lizzie currently taking coal opposite the Pickfords warehouse south of Shrub Hill.

 

She will be/is heading towards London, Lizzie on the front apparently...

 

Any idea whats the restriction on Hereford - Worcester is about ? clearly it's not gauging if Lizzie was towed through.

Pity it's not coming up this way but neveretheless it's done 6201 and the society's profile the world of good.

 

It's probably because they don't want to get the carriages 'sooty' through Ledbury tunnel
