Pity about the brick arch concern, hope West Coast can deal with the problem before the Wales trip. Appears that the crew applied sensible caution wrt this, One of the great things about this excursion, you are not far from assistance should you need it. From the footage put up so far, it doesn't look like the 47 had to assist much. Just goes to show the crew did the right thing taking the decision they did and that the K4 can handle a load of 14 plus. So what should its power classification be? 6MT doesn't seem to be quite right. Maybe it is so unusual that it cannot be readily classified.

 

Photos of the K4 at Angerholme both north and southbound. Southbound, is quite possibly the heaviest, horizontal rain I've ever been out in for the S&C.

45305 provisional for 22/8 as well as the Moorlander 2 days earlier.

 

My info is it will be 45305 doing the Brief Encounter Fellsman .
