Can anyone confirm the loco for the run? UK Steam says 45305/46233 but 45305 is at York. Another thread on the Scarboro' Flyer suggests 60009.

Had a look through your photos, Mike, really good ones there. Have to say again that I much prefer to see A4's in their green livery...just what I was brought up with seeing !. Favourite has to be the Duchess racing along with The Royal Scot. (Probably because always my favourite class of loco). One small thing might be of worth; I'm surprised you don't put the date on the captions ???!! I for one like to relate the date especially when there are no headboards. Pete

Very true but for me the efforts of you, acw71000, 981smithy and others are the best thing about this site. The more open and spectacular landscapes favour the northern squad.Thank you for the time and money you put in , you give a lot of pleasure.

My feelings exactly! I'm a great collector of professional DVDs and to be honest all the material from the mentioned photographers is up there with best of those.

That's praise indeed, and for those of us who don't get out as often as we would like too, the coverage of these runs is always eagerly anticipated. Some complain about the same locations being over used, but there is a limit to the places that are reasonable accessible.

Thanks for all the praise and comments about me Austin , Smithy and a few friends who post on nat pres as we do this as mainly a hobby but if folk like our work all the well but sometimes shots get repetitive with all the tours we have had over the last few months . Its a pity some of the CMES did not go over Shap but that is down to the powers that be .
