these updates are very good, and progress is excellent.

However, I'm completely in the dark about how all this fits together. As far as I'm aware, there are a couple of groups restoring a few different bits of track near the town. But I can't find a single webpage telling me who is doing what, what the plans are, and what they aim to do and in what kind of timeframe. A single map would be useful, because names of local places and bridges etc are perhaps lost on those who aren't very local.

Is everyone working towards a common goal? Will all the bits of track reconnect?

Although I have not posted in a while there is plenty going on:

Steam loco 'Oliver' is being progressed with a hope for return to steam sometime during the year. Latest updates are here
Cambrian Heritage Railways Forums • View topic - Overhaul of Oliver

After the snow has gone there is much to do at Oswestry Station and a water column will be installed once restoration is complete
Cambrian Heritage Railways Forums • View topic - Cambrian Water Column

The next working weekend is planned to tackle about the last part of the overgrown route from Park Hall to the NR boundary

The plans for the year will be discussed at the AGM but a key area is to raise the money for further development, not just physical but also to get the necessary legal paperwork sorted out.

Who is responsible for and are there any time scales for repairing the bridge with the props in the track bed preventing running southwards from Oswestry?.

Basically, as I understand it, the bridge was propped up as a temporary measure pending an upgrade. As the line was mothballed the urgency to upgrade went away and with various cuts to the highways budget it's become one of those jobs on the County's To Do list when money is available.

By clearing the line, applying for the necessary legal powers and running trains up to that point there becomes a stronger case to complete the upgrade / rebuild the bridge.
