    Do the Americans still use any Vietnam era Huey helicopters in there armed services or have they been long retired? How many are preserved in America or the world in general?

    Don't know about the Americans but I do know the British military use a modified version of the Huey under the name Griffin for pilot training.

    Also a little know fact was that the SAS used Hueys during their deployment in Oman in the 1970's and their famous battle of Mirbat

    There's a bloke in the UK that has a preserved UH-1 Huey and a preserved OH-6 Cayuse that do the airshow circuit.

    The Griffins that the RAF have are somewhat different to the Vietnam era UH-1. The AAC still use Bell 212 (developed from the UH-1/Bell 204) in Belize and Borneo and for training purposes at Middle Wallop.
