Assume you are willing to sponsor the event/cover the loss incurred in hiring/transporting that lot?Thought not.

Is it now illegal to offer up suggestions to the wider community?

No need to be so callous. From small seeds sown have grown mighty oaks and all that.

At the very least it would be nice to see 4472 lined up with the A4s at Shildon. If you're going to reunite all six A4s, you might as well reunite all seven surviving Gresley pacifics.

Assuming, of course, that 4472's overhaul is completed on time...!

Here, here and add the D49, K4, N2 and V2 while you're at it. A Gresleyfest would be well worth attending.

How about platforms 1 to 6 at The Cross? Close the station for a day, photo-shoot, BBQ, bunting. Sorted!

Oh that's very good D7076,:clap2: full marks for tact and courtesy. I think the young fella was only putting his "wish list" forward. Unnecessary D7076. :tsk:

It looks like the Atlantic Conveyor will be off the tip of SW Ireland late this afternoon around 18.00.
It should then be possible to track its progress to Liverpool on the AIS system.
Just put the ship name into the box to locate it.

Totally agree Brian. There is no need for D7076's remark.
We all have a wish list. Mine would probably be all 4 Jubilees together with, maybe, Scots Guardsman, but not the pink thing.

I don't think there is an event as such but it is more than likely the pair will be outside at Shildon, they have cancelled the car rally which usually occurs outside so the space must be needed for something else.

Possibly for unloading the second arrival. Web reports suggest that the first loco will travel north Wednesdaty / Thursday and the second is expected to leave the docks on Saturday. Since this event is being sponsored by Mortons Media (Railway Magazine / Heritage Railway) I would expect news to emanate from these sources.
