Seen at Woking and NO diesel on the back. Nice to catch up with Mike Notley who was boarding the train here.

Tangmere departed from Bath just a few minutes down and was working well. Thankfully by then at Newbridge, a black cloud half the size of Somerset had decided to clear away from the sun and so I managed to get a very nice sequence of video. Load 10 today. <BJ>

34067 flew through Whitchurch this morning about 5 early, easing hitting 75 through the station and crossing St Marybourne Viaduct, near Hurstbourne, at about 73.5mph. I can't make tonight, so uploaded my video now. The link is below.

I can't wait for her run on the 28th with the ACE, especially if she sounds as good as she did today!

A nice video - your camera does have a good zoom on it. I do like Fleet station although prefer seeing steam going north. With the water stop around the corner imminent for the south bound runs, the engines will often be shut off or are slowing for that stop.

I'd just like to add a small piece of constructive criticism, if I may. If this were my own video, I would probably delete the first two minutes, just before 34067 is opened up through the station and would remove the last minute (or at least from when the dogs start barking at around 3.40). I fast forwarded through the first couple of minutes as there was not much action, with the exception to the dog barking and the sound of the cars on the bridge. Keep going though, as I do enjoy watching your videos.

    Just a suggestion...

Thanks again for the tips re Salisbury chaps. I made it for the first run down and although it is a closed station I asked the gate person and was allowed on for the lunchtime water stop. Also the videos are good, especially the late afternoon shot on the curve at Newton St. Loe.

    And a PS

Brilliant driving by whoever was on the regulator as she left Salisbury in the rain - it might have looked slow and sedate but I heard him check four or five slips without once losing it in a big way. So fantastic driving mate and at least one platform-ender noticed your skill!

Saw it on time at Grateley AND IN SUN! Surprisingly I had no company at the station. In view of the problems nearer London, it was good that the run went so well. (sorry can't share my picture - one of the disadvantages of film, I suppose, but I do like my old Pentax)

My footage from Saturday with Tangmere seen at Bradford-On-Avon, Bristol and Keynsham. She seemed to be having a whistle/horn battle with something at Bradford-On-Avon although I'm a bit puzzled as to what the horn belonged to as no DMU or 66/67 etc had arrived into the station just before she got there. I had heard that horn several times before she arrived though.
