Apparently arrive Bromsgrove loop 18:12 and depart 18:45.

 

Please don't make a lot of noise about it. Don't start asking everyone questions. If they think it is becoming a fiasco, they will cancel it.

Bob and I post on here regularly about operations. I would hope that those of you that have access to additional information might ask yourselves why neither Bob nor I would have mentioned it?

If we have a train that is doing something out of the norm and is of interest to the enthusiast community, don’t you think we would be jumping up and down and waving flags to get people on the train if we felt we were able to?

Before you post something that you think you have the exclusive on, please ask yourself why no-one from Vintage Trains has mentioned it previously – believe me – since it’s us that puts the requests into NetRail via WCR, we know about it before you do!

I am not in the habit of withholding info. Please trust us on this.

Thanks Ben it is not always easy to know what should and should not be revealed. Seen as it has happened a few times now I didn't really think it was that significant.

 

Don't know why I didn't think of this earlier but as I live fairly local to Tyseley (5 miles away in Solihull) I don't mind giving people a lift into Birmingham if they're a bit stuck for getting their trains home. Got room for four. Probably best to let me know now if you want a lift and then confirm on the day. Will save the price of a taxi.
There will be plenty of time to find me on the day but I'll be wearing a red rose in my lapel, carrying a copy of The Times and standing underneath the clock (ha, ha).

Ben, you would only be on it for 15mins or so. Could be worse it could be a Friday night. I've got A train at 21.10 south from NS so hopefully no panic.

 

And you've got to know where to get off the bus for your station.

37 goes right into Birmingham centre via Moor Street. If you need NS you can hardly get off at the wrong place.

 

Your choice (and anybody else's), the offer of a lift is still there.

 

Sold out in Dining and Club classes.
About 20 seats left in Standard and 4 in Enthusiast classes.

If you are undecided about coming on this one, I wouldn't leave it much longer.

We don't have the option of simply sticking another TSO into the mix on this one!

That's a very kind offer and I would willingly take it up. I do feel, however there are going to be a considerable number of people doing the journey. First come first served I guess. I'm in coach F seat 6F. Let me know yours and we could meet up back at the car park.

 

Yes it will have to be fcfs and you are first. Just phoned my wife, my ticket arrived this morning (after I came to work), coach H seat 4F.
