Last run over Shap and S&C for 6201, will this prove to be an incentive or not?

    It's selling rather well!

If you want Club or Dining I wouldn't wait too long. We don't have any Tables for 2 left in Dining.

Indeed I'm looking at trying to get on this but coming from Exeter maybe a bit difficult to get back to EXeter so any possible insight into the times would really help.

Don't have the final times yet, but it's a near copy of a trip we ran earleir in the year (timings-wise)

    O/B - New St 6:47 - Crewe 8:20
    Ret - Crewe 20:10 - New St 22:35

To and from Exeter on the day might be a bit of a challenge - sorry.

I'm booked on this, there was only standard class left when I booked on Monday so looks like a full train.

Hope Lizzie gets a good send off, had some memorable moments with her in this latest ticket, first steam from New Street, one of the first INTO Euston and of course on it's old stamping ground of the Southern half of the WCML.

Hoping Enthusiast class isn''t a quick blast up Shap then at the back from Carlisle-Crewe.
Just as occupants were treated to the back coach up Lickey beind the Panniers

Not really what the premium was paid for :-(

Hope the weather's improved by Saturday -- it was rather damp and gloomy over Shap at 11am this morning

I am in coach F on this trip. As to the weather, I have just looked on the met office site and it is forecast for heavy rain Friday night into Saturday, clearing later in the day.

The latest e-newsletter from VT says there are a very seats left on this train: a table for 2 in Pullman for £330, a 1st-class compartment (6 people, £95 each) and a few seats in Standard class at £80 each.

6201 is booked for the LE move today from Tyseley to Carnforth but I have just noticed on UK Steaminfo that it says diesel hauled:-

    t1116p.htm

Would anyone know if this is the case or not as I was going out to see it around the Winwick or Golborne area this afternoon.

    Thanks, Neil.

Neil I have a feeling that the diesel hauled bit has slipped in from the saturday times as I think David has used the same template and accidently not removed that bit. If I have time I will also be out so will send you an update.

Ok thanks Ralph. I see what you mean when looking at tomorrows times on Davids site. It was a bloke in my local who mentioned it last night as I hadn't noticed it when I looked on yesterday afternoon.
