Classic. excellent photos. You must have been in the car park with all us others, seeing if we could avoid impaling ourselves on those railings !!

    Thanks Pete!

I'm glad I decided NOT to go to Ruscombe this morning, I don't think I would have got much judging by your video (quite a gathering from the look of it, that's why I chose West Drayton over Iver!) - the light certainly doesn't do the paint job justice................................ as for tonight, a tad too dark for photography me thinks!

My contribution to this thread is my short video of 60163 racing along the GWML at Challow foot crossing and Uffington. The link is below.

The light was very disappointing this morning, which, as has been mentioned previously, has done nothing to show off this wonderful colour. BR blue is my favourite livery, and I was beyond delighted when it was announced that 60163 would be going blue for late-2012 and 2013. Now all we need is a decent rake of coaches! :D

Not seen that generator car before. Is it part of the new set? It looks very fresh.

Me neither. It's a blooming noisy thing too - it was coming from behind me as the train departed Twyford, and I thought there was a 66 giving a shove on the back!

I was about say that as well, shades of the dreaded Ethels. I'm sure other genny cars aren't as noisy, ie the one on the VSOE.

The Tornado charter was the only train allowed through the tunnel at Chipping Sodbury this morning. All other services were diverted via Bath. The staff at Bristol Parkway were very helpful keeping us up to date on the progress of the train. As soon as we saw the tanker at Bristol Parkway we were assured that Tornado would make an appearance.

I was a little cautious on hearing that Tornado was to be repainted into blue but now .....I just love it!! <BJ>

Now if you fitted a traction motor to one of its bogies, no-one would moan about having a "box on the back". Right? :boink:
