    Seems that the proposed duties for Braunton are now being substituted, so assume she will not be taking this tour either. Which engine will step in, I wonder, possibly Brittania to stay warm after her run two days earlier ??? I don't think we've seen Brittania on the Ascot Bracknell Wokingham Reading line; could be wrong, and is gauging ok anyway ??

    70000 was the most likely substitute the last time I spoke to Steam Dreams.

    Keeping my ears to the ground on this one - 1st trip we've booked since 9th July! Although we booked knowing full well Braunton may be a no show, I'm hoping 70000 might sub as not seen her yet!

    Marcus advised over the PA system on the 24/11 trip that if Braunton was not ready 70000 was the likely substitute.

    Seems now to be Brittania as shown on UK steam timings. Perhaps Mods can change my heading to this stream ( again ! ). please. Pete
