Really like those two Ian. Here's a view from Gomshall with 35028 working away well on the climb. The line curves around here so I'm safely on the platform, not in the middle of a foot crossing:

Thanks Ashley, did you manage to get any video? Should be good light for it and good sound with 35028 working hard. I did make a sound recording but haven't a chance to listen/edit yet.

 

Here is my video from today, with 34067, 60163 and 35028 all put into one film. I filmed 34067 at Portchester, Funtley, Chandlers Ford and Hedge End, 60163 at Sonning Cutting and 35028 at Chertsey.

Another day, another trip to Hackhurst Farm for 35028!

 

Isn't it amazing that this has become such a "routine" event?

Lovely shots, everyone. The sort of day when it's a joy to be out and about filming steam trains still hard at work 45 years later!

 

Routine also equals less photographers when it comes to the VSOE.
Another aspect of routine.. is the overbridge off the departure end of Platform 2 of Victoria.. where else on the mainline today do you see smoke stained bridges...
