Two potential donors to fund it but both need to sell other locos first.

Are these 'for sale ads' we have already seen? Could you reveal what the locos are and ball park figures (by private message if necessary) I am aware of a couple of locos for sale, but may not be aware of all of them, it maybe that they are not 2ft?

Overtook 'Lyd' this morning as she stormed bunker first up a steep gradient towards Caernarvon - although this was on the A487 and she was on a low-loader! Assume she was on her way to Porthmadog to be offloaded?

Lyd is currently at Dinas. Her return from the NEC was delayed due to roads being underwater in North Wales. She's too long to be unloaded safely at Minffordd and will be coming down to Port some time next week. Incidentally, she is now facing in the down - chimney towards Caernarfon - direction which should make for some interesting photo opportunities.

Suppose direction doesn't make much difference on the WHR with gradients in either direction, though it's understandable why those gauged for the FR generally face Blaenau.

That, I think, is what Andrew means. The delay is due to some track repairs needed following the heavy rain last week.

Nope. Probably next week assuming it's signed off by the Board.

Following some very minor adjustments, new versions of the 2013 F&WHR timetables have now been prepared - and I have replaced the original file in the above posting...

So, if you have already downloaded copies of the original version, please delete them and and download the updated file.

For those that like to study these things, details of the 'tweaks' and 'aesthetic' alterations are listed below:

    FR:
    `Steam 150' Roundels added.
May Bank Holiday advertised service downgraded to a Pink TT - to give more flexibility for adding extra trains during the 'Steam 150'weekend.
Special Event section moved to a more prominent position and wording changed to emphasise that extra trains will be running during certain events.
Note added to calendar grid regarding Nov/Dec 2013 services.

    WHR:
Special Event section moved to a more prominent position.
Ffestiniog Railway 'Steam 150' added to Events section and calendar grid.
Wording in Events section changed to emphasise that extra trains will be running during certain events.
Last Port arrival time in Yellow TT changed to 1825 to avoid confusion during the minority of dates (18 days out of 86 total) when FR Yellow service also in operation.

So, as you can see, no dramatic differences contained within this latest version.

Shhh... Don't tell anybody else, but... I hope you took the dates from v3 of the timetable which I've had to upload after being informed of a couple of errors that hadn't been spotted by me or my proof-readers...

Four of the world’s oldest narrow gauge steam locomotives are sitting side by side in the Ffestiniog Railway’s workshops in Porthmadog for the first time in living memory. Built in London between 1863 and 1867, together they represent almost six hundred years of steam power on the Ffestiniog.

In 2013, Princess will be on display in her home town at Paddington Station from St David’s Day, While Prince will be in steam at London Transport’s Acton Depot in a joint celebration the 150[SUP]th[/SUP] anniversary of the Underground. The locos – painted in matching deep red livery – will also visit Dublin’s Heuston Station and the Great British Beer Festival at Olympia in-between taking part in celebrations on the Ffestiniog Railway throughout the year. Welsh Pony is receiving a cosmetic makeover and will be on display in green, while Palmerston will be in steam in maroon.
