Well all the ex-GWR ones can be found on my flickr collection of GWR locos:-

Collection: GWR - God's Wonderful Railway

Whilst not GWR, I can also attest to the fact that 44027 is taking shape at Toddington on the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway. I plan to get an update to appear regarding this loco's progress along with the other restoration projects on the Glos & Warks steam dept blog in the next couple of months.

80064 is hardly lost - go in to Sheffield Park engine shed, it's the big black 'un on the furthest road. Out of ticket but all in one piece.

80100 is currently up the Pumphouse siding with a tarpaulin over it - not lost, we know where it is! A couple of years back she was posed next to 80064 for our 50th anniversary gala.

A quick trawl of Flickr, or indeed the Bluebell website, will turn up numerous pictures of both engines.

I can assure you 80105 is not lost and has steamed in preservation. She can currently be found in the Museum of Scottish Railways in Bo’ness awaiting her move to the overhaul shed early next year.

46464 has a group of people working away on her at Bridge of Dun with work progressing well and I believe the tender is complete.

Do you mean "not recently in the news" or "not had any new bits made for them"? Anyway, back to your original list: the two Ivatt tanks are hardly lost and forgotten either. There was a fair bit of "news" about them a couple of years back when ownership transferred to the IoWSR, and since then a fair number of "new bits" have been made for at least 41298. Check out the relevant pages of the IoSWR website.

Which engine is 31265? Do you mean the SECR O1 class number 65 - if so, you got the BR number wrong, not that she will ever likely be painted in BR livery while under the current ownership. She's another one that is hardly lost - she only came out of traffic about three years ago and is also in the Sheffield Park engine shed: go in the main visitor entrance to the shed and turn sharp right...

Who knows? If he meant the O1, he is out by one number (31065 vs 31265). If he meant the U boat, he has transposed two numbers (31625 vs 31265). Either is as likely as the other! Though neither engine really fits the criterion of "lost" or "unsteamed"...

    A Thingy...
I think we are finally starting to reach the core of the issue here, so here goes... The thread is enquiring about photographs of preserved steam locomotives that are back-burner projects or have not been in the news in recent years for one reason or another. Therefore a bit more involved than just stating the status of various projects.

The J39 project hasn't been in the news recently or the Claud-Hamilton, the Southern L1, LNER L1 or the fleet of gas producing R1s being built for two million plus visitors a year expected at that scenic spectacular of Kent AKA the Remeberance Line!
