KWVR 20th Jan 2013

Line returned to KWVR at 15:00 allowing 41241 to makes its first Keighley - Oxenhope working. Those of us "based" at Oakworth were most grateful to station staff for a warm fire and keeping us up to date with the Oxenhope - Damems Loop shuttles hauled by 957 + 1300 ( 2 round trips) and 25059 wotrking in top 'n tail mode with the pair on the 3rd trip which was finally allowed to continue through to Keighley.

 

Really sad news circulating around the railway yesterday. :-( Very grim indeed. However, everyone involved on the railway must be congratulated for their determined efforts to keep the railway running. It was nice to see 957 and 41241 have one last fling on the railway for sometime, and the chance to see the two 'Lankies' pair up again. Here are a few of my shots from the day:

yes congratulations to the railway for keeping a service going
i consider myself very lucky as i came within a minute of walking into the murderer at ingrow imafraid i cant say anymore !!
if the chap tho split his head at oakworth is watching i hope you are ok and got home safeley !!
