A new event in Foxfield's 2013 calendar is the inclusion of 'Built by Bagnall'. This event will see all available Bagnall built locomotives running over the two day period taking there turn on passenger and freight trains.

We are also pleased to announce that the Staffordshire Built twins 'Alfred' and 'Judy' will be visiting the railway from week commencing the 1st April until the 22nd. During there stay we will be running them over two weekend and are also hopeful to operate them on Driver Experience duties during the week. PM me if you're interested...

More details to follow soon, but it's sure to be a great event.

Details of the Driver Experience courses are now available here... Driver Experience | Foxfield Railway

The 'Built by Bagnall' gala is going to be great. The timetable is shaping up nicely which will include 'Alfred' and 'Judy' featuring on full line COAL trains throughout the weekend.

Interesting fact, Florence No.2 works number '3059'. Alfred works number '3058' Who'd have thought it!

Rich, can I ask a favour? Can you, or someone else, reduce the file size of the timetable please? 3.26MB is huge for a single, text-only PDF. My phone won't open it as it's so large, whereas normally it never struggles.

If you don't mind having to squint a bit, here's a 300kb screenshot!

Could it possible to sacrifice one of Florence's passenger turns for one with Wolstanton and Myfanwy? I don't think anyone will miss it not doing one?

Still seems pretty huge for what is basically a black and white text document, but there you go - the days of coding to preserve memory and disk space are long gone. I sometimes wonder how applications would perform if programmers used some of the storage saving techniques we had to use when I started work.

I'm 6'2 and I managed easily enough; I was more concerned about being deafened by the noise they made than smacking my head!

Please! Both dud, but Wolstanton sounds decent enough, and certainly more of a novelty!

They will one day, but until then you will have to wait. Wolstanton is in the final stages of being vacuum fitted and will hopefully be running some summer Saturday's this year. Like I say you will have to wait... ;)
