You are right I forgot that she was booked for the VT trip.. looks like we are stuck with 5305 if No 9 is not going to be used.

True but perhaps the tours have sold better and are loaded to 12.70013 was also in the original plan so possibly the loco would have been selected according to the load requirements. Might still be the case of course.

The last 3 CMEs of the mini season have "sold out"........good news for RTC........ And shows there is a market for the "right" tour. Clearly, strong bookings may result in an " extra carriage"or not removing one!
Recent difficulties with performance on NR this winter means that charter train planning needs to be very very careful at present with the loco clearly able to comfortably haul it's load. PPM figures for the WCML north of Preston have been......well......lets perhaps say that I would prefer NO delays at all to other operators ESP until the issue over capped liability settles down.
Nigel operates the CMEs without a diesel on the rear and IMHO an A4 is "fit for purpose and more"
Of course, many factors may result in a change of loco but Nigel has done well in providing enthusiasts with a good run during the somewhat quiet low season. With snow it can be superb!

Looking back just a month or two when i saw 60009's number popup on the schedule as one of two locomotives I was excited. Look at these performances, They will be ones to remember for a long time.

Another reason why I'm glad she is motive power this year is because we are getting some variety between 2012 and 2013. Cheers

I've seen people go lineside but then as long as they're not TOO dangerously close to the track. Or as long there tripod is over the fence but there body on the right side then again that ok, I've seen people do it but I have never fussed about I just think 'it that there choice in the end what they do.'

M'yes, but then it tempts others to go 'wrong side' too - possibly folk who aren't as 'savvy' as they should be...

The rules are there for a reason - and there's no chance of this particular one being rescinded, so it's best that we abide by them.
