    Alternatively, Google is your friend.

No-one is going to lookup or supply you with info on such a massive list of locos, especially when you only come on here to ask questions like this.
It probably took you 5 minutes to type your message, but have you thought how long it would take someone to put together news, locations and pictures of each loco? Hours!!

Like everyone else has said, google/flickr/UKlocos etc are the best places to start, instead of waiting on here for days to see if anyone has given you an answer amidst the people telling you to look it up yourself.

However, i noticed one of the locos you asked about was Cecil Raikes. It took me quite a while and you probably wouldn't have found this in a million years, but here is a recent pic of Cecil (not mine) in a warehouse somewhere in Liverpool, for anyone else who's interested too

Good to see old "Cecil" again - shame its no longer on public display. The photo set also shows MD&HB no1 and the L&M coaches which used to be on display in the old transport gallery in William Brown St. Considering the millions that the new Museum of Liverpool Life cost it only displays a fraction of the exhibits that the old one did. Mind you Glasgow is the same and as for that c--p that pretends to be Imperial War Museum North - don't get me started! Ray.

Oh come on people, no need for the abuse. We all know you can web search stuff, but also we should know how difficult it can be to separate recent info from old info, false rumours and deliberate misdirection because it all looks just as convincing in a web browser. In addition there are likely to be folks on here who have recent news even if its "no change in the last 5 years", and there are often people who like an opportunity to share recent snapshots.

the same comments could apply to any information given in this thread! A photo or information could be ages old and portrayed as "news" which makes the whole thing a bit pointless.

Well I don't think anyone has given 'abuse' on this thread - perhaps you could point out where this has happened?

If YRM is really interested in the status of FORTY FIVE locos then he could either check the websites of the relevant groups, email them or visit them on-site to find out for himself. He has asked similar questions in the past and has been advised to use uklocos, google, flickr etc but chooses to ignore this advice.

Ok - let's take the first one first ... BR 75078. Google "loco 75078" and third up is the KWVR site where it clearly states it is under overhaul at Haworth MPD.

Took me about 1 minute. Then simply repeat 44 times.

As for photos, chances of finding any photos of loco's in bits are slim, depending on how web-friendly the owners are. See Galatea etc.

Sheff - you beat me to it. I tried an even simpler search term, just "34058" - top hit is a link to the MHR website with a fair amount of info.

Now, two down, forty three to go. Come on YRM...

I just did the very very simple google method, because I recognised a number. 48518.

Ex LNER 8F, near as dammit scrapped at Llangollen.

The boiler is now part of the county project at Didcot, the frames are at Riley's in Bury, the wheels are at Smithys in Carnforth, the cab, valves and several other components have now been removed from Llan and are now at Barry Tourist Railway.

I'm sure google will find a pic for you!

Yes, but... YRM has form. I'm sure he's a good lad at heart, but I feel he needs his enthusiasm directed towards helping himself, rather than getting all his net-uncles and net-grandfathers to scurry round doing his bidding. I ask myself "what would his teacher say?" and I think the more-or-less constructive replies given so far are pretty close...

Having said all that, the pictures of Cecil Raikes are fascinating, and I will now go a-googling-oh to see what I can turn up for myself...
