Do the firemen not occasionally use a shovel (on a stoker fitted loco) to top up corners etc?

Hardly anything of signafigance from this weekends trips out Bristol, Virginia have been posted on youtube. In the meantime, 630 has made a move to Roanoke, Virginia today. 630 will be in Roanoke for the entire week before this weekends tours.

Right in the downtown area is the location of The Virginia Museum of Transportation. The musuem is the home for N&W 611. Donations have been rapidly soaring in from all over the world. So far funds from the UK, Germany, Canada and Japan too have been contributing towards the feasibility of returning her to steam. Keep it coming!

Just looked at a DVD preview of 630 in U-Tube. Excellent stuff too. The amazing thing was there are no fences, photographers all over the place and as far as I could see no heaps of mangled bodies. Strange that.
