Yes,found close by, very very close by, apparently.
Yes we should support the engine in getting it to safety, if the owner needs it.

If the owner asks, I am sure the enthusiast fraternity will provide. I certainly would. Personally, I'd love to see it on the SVR, to complete our set of LMS moguls :) But that isn't my call.

I'd like to see it there too, but Bridgnorth Works has plenty on its plate as it is; I doubt they'd want to make a start on or provide dead space for what is obviously going to be a very long job!

It's a complete heart over head thought, you're quite right! Still, anywhere where it would be safe is preferable to where it is at the moment.

I'd be in too - I'd love to see a Crab go mainline - Wakes Weeks to the coast anyone? Well we can dream!

If this is true then it is excellent news. This saga has brought the Crab from obscurrity to the attention of everyone and (if all that is being mentioned now is true), this can only be a good thing for both securing its future and providing the owner with backing and support.

Can someone put me in touch with the owner please? Possibly might be able to offer space for safe storage and restoration

Ought to mention that the Crab already has a safe haven organised-much of it is already there.

As a matter of interest, and a the risk of sending the thread temporarily OT, are there any unpreserved tenders still at large on the network now?
