Does anyone have any drawings for a Lister Autotruck please, or alternatively is aware of one in poor condition that may be available? A few of us down here at Swanage shed have had a little idea for a spare time (!) project...

    Thanks in advance.

There is a website. I found it just by Googling Lister Autotruck. Wasn't the rail version the 'Auto Trolley' or something like that? Ray.

That's not an Auto Truck! That is a diesel Rail Truck, the petrol edition was fitted with the Auto Truck bodywork.

The closest thing I can think of in terms of a rail mounted Auto Truck is Monster, quite a contraption.

Perhaps the most comprehensive article to date is that by Andrew Neale in what is usually referred to as "The Roy Link" magazine, actually Narrow Gauge and Industrial Modelling Revue, in issue No 5, in Volume 1.

The drawings show a short wheelbase one but all those preserved bar one are of the 'normal' wheelbase. They are now like the proverbial hen's teeth, and even the part-dismantled locos from the North Sea Camp auction fetched very high sums.

You might find it useful to have a chat with the chaps in the bushes to the east of Norden station as they will have the contacts and knowledge you seek. Nearest ones for a look see are probably those at Twyford Waterworks Museum where they have both petrol and diesel variants. there are also two at Amberley Chalk Pits Museum, one of which is the only known short-wheelbase survivor.
