Hello all, my first (and probably only) post here. I am trying to find a 'retirement' home for a pair of complete EE 16SVT Mk1 engines. They are fitted with 3300v 3Ph alternators and were built approx 1955. One is a runner bar a failed speed control device (approx 2200 hours) and last used a few months ago. The other (a dry sump version) has not run for over ten years but is mechanically complete. Both of them are still inside the buildings constructed to house them in 1956 and are tidy. The recent runner still has the block heating system running to prevent frost damage. They have been in use as static generator engines since new and both have low engine hours (the highest approx 2200).

I am hoping that they will be available for a token sum to a registered preservation site/charity if the costs and logistics of removal from their current locations are met by whoever makes a successful request. It is not my intent for the engines to be sold to any commercial or trading organisation and the engines must not be broken down for spares at their current site. However I would be happy if the engines were used for spare parts to keep other EE engines going.

If there is no interest they will end up going for scrap which I am trying hard to avoid as they are such wonderful engines.

More details will be available if you send me a pm explaining who you are and your interest.
