    Hello all,

Are there any heritage lines out there that get used as transport between wedding venues? I know a lot of them can now provide weddings themselves, but I was curious as to whether any were used to get from say a church to the reception venue at another location along the line? Dream wedding that!

Once saw a wedding party journey to high rocks on the tunbridge wells line. The reception was at the hotel next to the platform

Dartmouth steam railway does. We can be hired for transport and venue. Churston station is licensed. We have about 20 bookings for this year, most of them get on at Paignton or Kingswear, travel 1st class in the Devon Belle observation coach, then have ceremony at Churston, then travel to Kingswear to board one of or fleet of boats for the reception. Nice. WwwDartmouthweddings.co.uk

The RPSI have provided a steam train on the mainline for the bride/groom and their guests on several occasions.

The Talyllyn once took bride, groom and associated guests from tywyn to Abergynolwyn where the happy couple traveled in horse and carriage while the guests were bussed to Talyllyn Lake and the Tynycornel hotel

South Devon do a fair share of wedding related outings each season using either or both the train and the routemaster bus.

There can be very few lines that don't have any wedding specials. I can add Welshpool & Llanfair to the list.

Add Llangollen to the list as well. It ranges from full weddings and receptions at the railway, to just a ride on the train between the wedding and the reception.

Tanybwlch, on the Ffestiniog, is registered for weddings and special trains are not uncommon.
