See that 50027 saved the day:) at the MHR after the rostered kettle failed ...I believe it was the Black 5 that failed

Oh dear, bit of a shame that black 5 failed but at least a rescue locomotive was available even though it may have been a diesel locomotive

Shades of 1968 a D400 [D427] standing in for a LMS steam loco. It did happen just about but was rare.

Yes it was 45379 that failed- not sure why, it was fine last night on the RAT, even kept to time despite the wet conditions. I was surprised to see Lion turn up at half eight this morning to do the Countryman/Belle/Service train shunt!

I can confirm that a Class 50 is definitely a diesel loco :D

It's the way it was put, like they were rejoicing in it. Answer to your question, I don't think so somehow!

Buseng....I would hate to see how you would react if someone was actually to bait you.

If i had put the smiley AFTER the "rostered kettle failed" then that would be seen as rejoicing that the Black 5 had failed....if you actually read what was written (would be a first) then I was celebrating that the day was saved by the 50 and that the MHR was still able to run its advertised services...which can only be a good thing.

Hear hear :) what we need is a "Margaret Thatcher" type person in high heels and carrying a whip to keep you naughty schoolboys in check.

The only problem I see is that one or two of you might actually enjoy it:)
