    @Mortimer_L

    I am pleased that you enjoy these events and I apologise to anyone who was at all offended by my posting. As I started this thread, may Mortimer_L have the last word please?

    Time to add my view, its nothing spectaular but here it is:
    Im a railway enthusiast, i've worked at several lines in the past, and im also a 1940's reenactor, i enjoy these events immensely as i can combine two hobbies.
    There is a certain view in the reenacting world that railway events are somehow at the lower end of the scale, not a view held by all but it is held by some.

    As a rule I don't go to these events but I do make an exception of the MHR's Christmas Leave.

    Regards
