In the "Real Time" columns, RTT is showing no stop at Carlisle and all subsequent times 1 hour earlier. Is this a genuine late notice change, or just a side-effect of the way "real time" data is gathered for RTT? Could make a big difference to those of us hoping to see the train at both Shap &Beattock! TIA

The Working Timetable is still showing an hours stop at Carlisle, so I would go with that for now.

Sometimes the realtime data can be difficult, and obviously it can't predict any better than the WTT for when a train will depart from a stop. Quite regularly you'll see with a steam charter, if it's booked in to a loop for half an hour and is 7 minutes late, then RTT will predict the train staying the full 30 mins and leaving 7 minutes late, rather than being let out after a 23 minute wait and back on time. Until the moment it actually leaves the loop anyway...

The duchess is having a lot of work undertaken to cylinders and valve chests at the moment, this was discovered at the winter maintenance and has added considerably to the costs of the maintenance programme, that is the reason very sadly she is not appearing today.

Definitely been a tour and a half so far, wish I had gotten a sharper, faster lens to deal with this duller weather now....
