And the pic is on Facebook. For heaven's sake. This stuff isn't rocket science. The picture was posted to a website; rather than whinge about which website it was posted to, click on the link, or don't.

Maybe non-Facebook people weren't able to see the photo in the original post. Anyway, there are pix in the newspaper articles which have been linked to.

The newspaper article also suggests that the low loader had an argument with a gatepost at Ingrow too, and it names the haulier. Oooops. Not very good for business.

I reckon the driver of the lowloader needs retraining.
Not only the lights got flattened but the gatepost to the yard as well. (beaten to that point)

It was public (I wasn't logged-in when I clicked on it) so I'm not sure why they wouldn't be able to.

There are good reasons to avoid some aspects of Facebook - the example I flagged recently of a link to an internet page that was routed via Facebook, so they could track external site use. That's clearly a bit dodgy for users who are logged-in. But worrying about content within Facebook when you're not a user and not logged-in is as daft as worrying about clicking on a link in Google or any other website.

That's pretty poor. I hope gates and the post aren't too trashed - they were rescued from the old Midland Goods Yard in Keighley and are pretty a irreplaceable.

Yes, I'm sure there are good reasons but I still think it's bonkers when a 75 ton loco has to go by road.

It's also conceivable that the tyre profiles are worn below acceptable NR limits.

One gate bent and badly twisted. The post is severly damaged. Top hinge bracket torn from the casting and a diagonal split from were it was to about half way down. :eek:hwell:

Looks like the moral of this post is:
Don't bother posting anything interesting or useful.
It will only encourage an argument!

Not sure that the low loader's tyre profiles will be very good either, after its arguments with various bits of street furniture.
