There's a bit of 1 in 104 between Gloucester and Standish Junction.

Surely the climb from Worcester SH to Norton Junction is steeper?

  9. Lots of pics of this train on the WSR today on wsr.org.uk :

    May 2013 Gallery: http://www.wsr.org.uk/cgi-bin/galleri.cgi?h=May 2013&t=newspix201305

plus some pics of the Network Rail train that visited this afternoon to turn on the Triangle. I haven't (yet) been sent any pictures of the earlier HOBC which dropped yet more ballast at 8am. So that's three trains that have used the Triangle (and the Junction) today. Every penny helps...

With just 5 mins to spare thanks to just about everyone in country deciding to make the M5 and Bristol a car park today going on thier holidays, please see my shot of 5043 accelerating towards Bristol's Parsons Street station.

Due to diverted traffic from the southbound M5 after an earlier accident where a young woman was killed. <BJ>

Superb sequence. Shows you don't need to spend excessive amounts of time scene setting and building up to the actual steam action. A simple, "non trendy" title as the noise starts to build does the job very well.

Just a short, very well filmed shot showing a loco working very hard.

Only problem is if my GWR brother finds it, it will get worn out! LOL!

Many thanks for posting it here.

Yes I have found it and I was standing just behind the poster to get my still shot attached. My video clip isnt in the same league as this one being taken on my Fuji and I was quite pleased with it until I saw this one.

    This is one fantastic engine.

Don, an excellent shot of the Earl in full cry. I wish I had known it was you standing behind, it would have been nice to say hello.

A short video taken at Cheltenham Spa, on the outward and return runs. This video was filmed on a Panasonic point and shoot photo camera and was hand held. . I did not have my normal camera equipment with me and I had not intended to publish this, but the results are not too bad.
