Ah right. Its interesting looking at ADB968008's pictures that the plate is wooden and that its shedcode is not actually a plate.

Does that mean you didn't like the rest of the film? Only joking. The consist was certainly flying through Chorleywood. Travelled on the train today and was told that the maximum speed they were allowed to travel at was 50 mph.

Haha, of course I did but that part of the clip really shows the speed that can be achieved by the train and I was a little surprised by it to be fair. Keep the vid's coming is all I can say. The sound of the tank engines is brilliant!

That was a good idea, filming the locos and stock at Amersham from another train. Wish I'd thought of that! Nice one.

Some nice footage there, Kristian, and also from James,in fact I've enjoyed every bodies footage :) but sorry to be picky Kristian - having read your blurb, one location is Northwick PARK, not Hills, unless of course you were at Northwood Hills............. and Chorleywood is all one word! ;)

And here are my efforts from a rain soaked Friday (I was lucky hypothermia didn't set in..................................) and from a dry but windy Saturday.

A lot of people seem to have got a bit luckier than me with the sunlight over the weekend! Some good stuff posted already.

A couple of photos from yesterday. Had awful luck with cloud, with the sun disappearing with the train in site on two out of three occasions. Very frustrating!

Nevertheless, here they are. The sound coming out of Rickmansworth was fantastic. http://www.flickr.com/photos/davestubbings/

A GPS check on board showed that the 20s speedo needed recalibrating :)

The 55xx is easily capable of 56mph...I know from personal experience with it.
So on the met shouldn't be any problem.

Another late video from me. I tried to do some recordings from the Watford triangle area with mixed success. The view has been somewhat spoiled with safety precautions lineside. Here is what I managed to achieve though.
