Hello!

We have an extra special Amerton Railway steam gala this year. We have 6 narrow gauge steam locomotives hauling a combination of both passenger and freight throughout the day on the 15th and 16th June 2013.

On Saturday 15th our gala event will be opened by Pete Waterman, who will remain throughout the day!


In steam: Bagnall Isabel, Wilbrighton Works Paddy, Hunslet Jennie, Kerr Stuart Peter Pan, Andrew Barclay Jack and newly restored Hudswell Clarke CSR No. 19 from Fiji!

Amerton Railway is set in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside.

Hello,

I can now confirm we will also have a traction engine visiting on both of our gala days, and you can now see our in-progress mining exhibition and narrow gauge quarry and mill wagons on on display. This coupled with 6 steam locomotives, Pete Waterman and the newly restored RNAD ammunition van and flat wagon means this years event will be our best yet!

We have just finished moving the freight stock around for the Steam Gala this weekend, we will be running trains displaying our full stock of both restored and unrestored RNAD stock, an impressive sight to say the least! Come and see our incredibly intensive service of freight and passenger locomotives along our 1 mile line throughout the weekend!
